Urahara's training room

A huge artificial cavern hidden beneath the shop, with a fake sky and rocks as far as the eye can see: the 'study room' where Urahara trains anyone who needs to get stronger, fast.

Urahara and Yoruichi built it on the model of the secret ground beneath Sōkyoku Hill where they played as children. Here Ichigo regains his powers in the Shattered Shaft, learning to hear Zangetsu; here Renji and Chad train before Hueco Mundo, and from here Urahara opens the Garganta.

The Shattered ShaftSubstitute Soul ReaperIn the shop's basement, Urahara severs Ichigo's Chain of Fate and throws him into a shaft: if he doesn't become a Soul Reaper before the chain wears away entirely, he will become a Hollow. Ichigo finds Zangetsu in his inner world and climbs out with the cleaver.
  2. Departure for Hueco MundoArrancarThe Soul Society declares Orihime a traitor and recalls its Soul Reapers. Ichigo, Uryū and Chad leave anyway through the Garganta opened by Urahara; Rukia and Renji soon follow them.
