Kisuke Urahara
浦原喜助
The scatterbrained shopkeeper in a hat and clogs who sells sweets in Karakura. In truth he is the former captain of the Twelfth Division, founder of the Research Institute and inventor of the Hōgyoku.
A hundred and ten years ago Urahara realised too late what Aizen was doing to his comrades, tried to save them and was condemned in his stead. Since then he has been preparing his comeback from the World of the Living: he trains Ichigo, opens the way to the Soul Society and to Hueco Mundo for him, and seals Aizen with a Kidō planted in his body during the fight. In the war against the Wandenreich he finally reveals his Bankai, Kannonbiraki Benihime Aratame.
