Shin'ō Academy

The school of spiritual arts, founded by Yamamoto two thousand years ago, from which almost every Soul Reaper graduates. Here Rukia, Renji, Kira, Hinamori and Hisagi meet as students.

For an orphan from the Rukongai, passing the entrance exam is the only way to change one's life. During a training exercise in the World of the Living, Renji, Kira and Hinamori are rescued from a horde of Hollows by Aizen and Gin: a first meeting that, it later turns out, was anything but a coincidence.
