Zangetsu ("old man")
斬月
The man in black with sunglasses who lives in Ichigo's inner world among the tilted skyscrapers. Ichigo believes him to be his sword's spirit; in truth he is the manifestation of his Quincy power.
He looks like Yhwach a thousand years ago. For years he held back Ichigo's growth as a Soul Reaper because he did not want to see him fight, and when he teaches the Mugetsu he knows that strike will erase him. The truth comes out at the Hōōden: 'old Zangetsu' fades away, and the new sword is born from the fusion of the Hollow and the Quincy power.
