1st Division barracks

The heart of the Gotei 13, with the great tower at the centre of the Seireitei: here the Captain-Commander summons the captains' meetings, and here the Wandenreich strikes first.

For a thousand years the First Division was Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto, the founder of the Gotei 13. During the Quincy's first invasion, Yamamoto unleashes his Bankai Zanka no Tachi and annihilates the Sternritter, but falls at Yhwach's hand, who steals his Bankai. His place passes to Shunsui Kyōraku, who leads the Soul Society through the rest of the war.
