The eightieth district of North Rukongai, the most remote and lawless: this is where the nameless boy who would become Kenpachi Zaraki grew up, taking the district's name as his own.

In Zaraki you fight to survive. It is here that the young Kenpachi first meets Yachiru Unohana, history's first Kenpachi, in the only fight in which he ever felt alive: so as not to kill her again, from that day on he unconsciously seals his own strength. It is also here that he finds the little girl he will name Yachiru.
