9th Division barracks

The Division of Kaname Tōsen, the blind captain who preaches justice and defects with Aizen; after him Kensei Muguruma returns. Lieutenant: Shūhei Hisagi, who also edits the Seireitei's newspaper.

A hundred years earlier the captain was Kensei, with Mashiro as lieutenant, and a young Hisagi was saved by him from a Hollow in the Rukongai, which is where his '69' tattoo comes from. Tōsen, then a member of the Ninth, was one of those who carried out Aizen's trap. Hisagi faces him, with Komamura, in the battle of the replica Karakura.
