Ichibē Hyōsube
兵主部一兵衛
The leader of the Royal Guard, 'the Monk Who Calls True Names': a bald, bearded monk who gave a name to everything in the Soul Society, Bankai included.
Whoever controls a thing's name controls its strength: with Ichimonji he erases an opponent's name, and with his Bankai Shirafude Ichimonji he assigns them a new one, as weak as he wishes. He teaches Renji Zabimaru's true name and faces Yhwach when the Wandenreich invades the Reiōkyū.
