Uryū Ishida
石田雨竜
The last of Karakura's Quincy, Ichigo's classmate, who hates Soul Reapers for failing to save his grandfather. He fights with a bow of spiritual energy and an even sharper pride.
He challenges Ichigo to a Hollow-hunting contest, ends up fighting alongside him and follows him to the Soul Society, where he sacrifices his powers in the fight with Mayuri, the man who had dissected his grandfather. Having regained his powers thanks to his father Ryūken, he goes to Hueco Mundo and then, in the thousand-year war, stuns everyone by siding with the Wandenreich as Yhwach's successor. It is a choice made to strike Yhwach from within: with the silver arrow forged by his father and his Schrift, The Antithesis, he makes the final victory possible. Ten years later he is a doctor at the Karakura hospital.
