Mayuri Kurotsuchi
涅マユリ
The Twelfth Division captain and president of the Research Institute: an unscrupulous scientist who treats every opponent as a guinea pig and his own body as a laboratory.
Locked in the Maggot's Nest prison for being too dangerous, he was freed by Urahara to run the Institute with him. He studied and dissected Quincy, Sōken Ishida included, which makes him Uryū's first personal enemy. Loathsome but indispensable: against Szayelaporro, Pernida and Giselle's corpses it is his science that makes the difference.
