ザエルアポロ・グランツ
The Eighth Espada, death's aspect of Madness: a vain scientist in search of 'perfection' who treats opponents as experiments. Yylfordt's brother.
He analyses Renji and Uryū until he neutralises their every attack, reproduces them as dolls and manipulates their organs. He runs up against Mayuri, a worse scientist than he is, who poisons him with a drug that slows the perception of time: 'a hundred years' in an instant.
