Kaname Tōsen

東仙要

The blind captain of the Ninth Division who preaches 'the path of least bloodshed' and follows Aizen for revenge: a noble Soul Reaper killed his childhood friend and went unpunished.

He hates the Soul Society that protected a murderer, and believes true justice requires destroying it. Hollowfied, he gains sight for the first time; at the replica Karakura he uses it to look into the faces of the friends he is about to kill. Hisagi stops him; Tōsen dies asking Komamura for forgiveness.
