Armin Arlert

Eren's childhood friend who dreams of the sea: weak in body, brilliant in strategy. He inherits the Colossal Titan from Bertolt, becomes the Survey Corps' fifteenth commander and, after the war, an ambassador of peace.

It is Armin who realises the Female Titan is a human being and unmasks Annie, who comes up with the plan to retake Trost's headquarters, who sacrifices himself on Shiganshina's wall to give Eren victory over the Colossal Titan. Levi gives him the only dose of serum instead of Erwin: Armin devours Bertolt and inherits his memories and power. In the Paths he convinces Zeke that life has value even in its smallest moments, and in the final battle he defeats Eren with the help of the Titans of the past. Three years later he returns to Paradis at the head of the peace delegation.
