Levi Ackerman

'Humanity's strongest soldier', captain of the Survey Corps: raised in the Underground City, he single-handedly cuts down dozens of Titans. He promises Erwin to kill the Beast Titan — and keeps his promise.

The son of Kuchel Ackerman, a prostitute who died in poverty, he is found and raised by his uncle Kenny, who teaches him to survive and then abandons him. Erwin recruits him after capturing him with Isabel and Farlan, who will die on their first expedition. He leads the special squad guarding Eren, foils Kenny's attack, and chooses Armin over Erwin at Shiganshina. In 854 he barely survives the explosion with which Zeke escapes him, and in the final battle he cuts off his head. After the war he lives in a wheelchair, cared for by Gabi and Falco.
