Keith Shadis

The twelfth commander of the Survey Corps, later instructor of the 104th class: it was he who, in 845, came back defeated to Shiganshina. He dies in Paradis's port, blowing up the Marleyan ship together with Magath.

Shadis felt an ordinary man next to Grisha and Erwin, and handed command to the latter. It was he who saw Grisha take Eren into the forest on the night Wall Maria fell, and for years he tried to talk the boy out of the Survey Corps. In 854 he redeems himself: he stays behind with Magath to stop the Yeagerists and gives his life for the alliance.
