Muramasa
村正
The Zanpakutō spirit of Kōga Kuchiki, Byakuya's ancestor, in the original arc 'The Zanpakutō Rebellion': he frees the swords' spirits and turns them against their masters.
He wants to free his master, sealed by the Soul Society centuries earlier. His plan forces every captain to face their own materialised sword, and gives the anime the chance to show the Zanpakutō spirits in the flesh.
