Royal Knights Selection Exam

Julius holds a tournament open to every squad to form a special unit against the Eye of the Midnight Sun: teams of three, a crystal to defend and no regard for rank.

Preceded by Mereoleona's hellish training at the Yultim hot springs — where the young Magic Knights learn the Mana Zone — the tournament is also where Finral finally faces his brother Langris, and where Zora Ideale, entered under a false name, tells the whole kingdom why he despises the Magic Knights.
