Black Clover · Story arc
Royal Capital Assault
The Eye of the Midnight Sun descends on the capital with every magic stone it has gathered. Julius Novachrono faces Patry alone — and does not come out alive.
The clash between the 28th Wizard King and the Eye of the Midnight Sun's leader is the series' breaking point. Julius wins, but Patry runs him through from behind and steals his mana; the Wizard King spends the last time he has left to save the capital, and what remains is a child with almost no power. The Reincarnation ritual starts anyway.
