Elf Reincarnation

The elves' souls return to life in the bodies of the Magic Knights. The Clover Kingdom becomes the battlefield of a five-hundred-year-old revenge — built on a lie.

Half the Magic Knights wake up with an elf's soul inside them, and the kingdom collapses overnight. In the Shadow Palace beneath the capital, Asta and Yuno reach Patry — and there the truth comes out: it was not humans who wiped out the elves but the devil Zagred, who played both peoples to obtain a body. This is the arc where Asta first awakens his devil form, where we learn who the little bird following him since the dungeon really is, and where Secre frees the elves' souls.

  1. The massacre of the elves500 years earlierIn a single night the elves' village is wiped out. The elves believe the humans betrayed them; in truth it is the devil Zagred who has been playing both peoples.
  2. Lumiere versus Licht500 years earlierThe first Wizard King fights his friend Licht, by now transformed by grief. Secre seals Lumiere to save him, and for that she will be condemned for forbidden magic.
  3. The Elf ReincarnationElf Reincarnation SagaThe ritual completes: the elves' souls return to life in the bodies of the Magic Knights. Half the order wakes up with someone else inside, and the kingdom collapses overnight.
  4. Mereoleona versus RufelElf Reincarnation SagaWhile the kingdom collapses, the hellish lioness holds an entire front against the reincarnated elves on her own: no Mana Zone withstands hers.

  10. Secre frees the elves’ soulsElf Reincarnation SagaThe little bird that had followed Asta since the dungeon takes human form again: Secre Swallowtail, the first Wizard King's sealing mage. With her Sealing Magic she separates the elf souls from the Magic Knights' bodies.
