Spade Kingdom Raid

Clover and Heart invade the Spade Kingdom to stop the Tree of Qliphoth. Three parallel battles — and, when the ritual completes, Lucifero himself in the human world.

Asta and Yami against Dante, Yuno and Langris against Zenon, Noelle and Mimosa against Vanica: the series' most ensemble arc. Yuno learns he is the heir prince of the Spade Kingdom, Noelle settles accounts with the woman who took her mother from her, and Asta and Liebe push Devil Union to the point where anti-magic can wound the Underworld's highest-ranking devil.

  6. Noelle versus VanicaSpade Kingdom SagaIn the Saint Valkyrie Dress, Noelle faces the woman serving the devil that killed her mother — and finds that Vanica does not even remember it.
  7. Magna's Soul ChainSpade Kingdom SagaIn the Spade Kingdom Magna Swing brings out the spell he built from nothing in Elysia: a duel of alternating blows in which whoever breaks first dies.
  8. The Tree of Qliphoth opensSpade Kingdom SagaThe ritual reaches the seventh level: the gate to the Underworld swings open and devils begin crossing into the human world.
  9. Lucifero in the human worldSpade Kingdom SagaThe Underworld's highest-ranking devil crosses the gate using Dante's body: his Gravity Magic crushes everything within range.
  10. The captains versus LuciferoSpade Kingdom SagaMereoleona, Nozel, Yuno and the surviving Magic Knights hold the line under the highest-ranking devil's gravity, to buy Asta the time to get there.
  11. Asta and Liebe: full Devil UnionSpade Kingdom SagaIn front of Lucifero, Asta and Liebe take Devil Union to the point where there is no longer a distinction between them: anti-magic becomes able to wound the Underworld's strongest devil.
  12. Lucifero is defeatedSpade Kingdom SagaMagic Knights, elves, the Heart Kingdom and the Land of the Sun hold the line while Asta lands the blow. The Spade war ends — and the next problem starts immediately.
