Maito Clan

Konoha family to which Maito Gai belongs. Lacking notable chakra nature abilities, the Maito distinguish themselves through extraordinary devotion to pure Taijutsu, pushed to absolute limits with the Eight Gates.

Maito Gai, Konoha jonin and Team Guy instructor, refined Taijutsu to the highest level possible for a human. By opening the Eighth Gate (Hachimon Tonkō), Gai managed to wound Madara Uchiha in his Six-tails Jinchūriki form. Rock Lee, his student, follows the same path. Gai's father, Maito Dai, pioneered the 'Youthful Spring' technique.
