Akatsuki (Original)

The original form of Akatsuki, founded by Yahiko, Nagato and Konan in Amegakure. A pacifist resistance group fighting to end the wars that afflicted the Rain.

Founded during the Third Ninja War, the original group sought to unite nations under lasting peace through persuasion rather than violence. After Yahiko's death at the hands of Hanzō and Danzō, Nagato took control as "Pain" and transformed the organisation into an instrument of terror in service to Obito/Madara.
